Welcome to my website!  I am an artist in several areas - Painting, Photography, and Fused Glass.

I am a self-taught abstract artist.  I rarely paint with a brush, but choose instead almost anything else to apply paint to canvas.  I work with texture and use various other mixed media to create visually interesting pieces.

I like to start with a color, see where it goes. I have no idea what the outcome will be, unless I’ve planned a structured piece.

My work is mostly acrylic, oil and mixed media. Inspiration comes to me through various items, such as an interesting pattern, fabric, stone, or metal.

As my style evolves, I find surprise in a new and unexpected technique I stumble upon, and the thrill in the end result further inspires me.  Painting, for me, equals growing and discovering.

As you will see, I have also included a Photography section. Mother Nature provides the opportunity, and if I’m lucky, I’m in the right place at the right time, when natural light is soft, and the sky is mellow or wild.

Fused Glass is my newest adventure.  I create pendants, coasters and plates.  Each piece is hand cut.  Each piece is an original, and there will never be an exact duplicate.
